Hunters Creek is an unincorporated community in Orange County Florida just south of the Orlando area. It’s home to about 16,000 residents and is a large, master-planned community built up in the late 1980s and 1990s. Some of the community may still be under construction.

CNN and Money Magazine rated Hunters Creek #21st on their list of 100 best places to live in the United States. This included top marks for financial, housing, education, quality of life and weather.
Homes in Hunters Creek average about $300,000-$500,000, which is more expensive than about 78% of most Florida neighborhoods. This affluent community is primarily made up of 3 to 4 bedroom homes from 2000 to 3500 ft.². Real estate vacancies for this community are only 6.5%, which is lower than most American neighborhoods. Hunters Creek has a unique character. Most of the buildings all date from a certain time. Including stop signs in multiple languages. Because of the way that Hunters Creek looks, it draws many people from around the Orlando area and most of Central Florida. According to one website, it ranks better than 93% of most Florida neighborhoods based on its living, educated professionals, executives and managers who reside here.

Hunters Creek has within itself about 40 different smaller neighborhoods. These neighborhoods have single-family homes, townhouses, and some condominiums. Some are gated and some have their own homeowner’s association fees. Although this is a residential community there are shops, restaurants, and markets, specifically along South John Young the Parkway. With easy access off of Highway 10, most of the markets and restaurants are found throughout the Hunters Creek Shopping Center. From here, residential neighborhood spread out around the central location. Downtown Orlando is about 17 miles north or 28 minutes depending on which route you choose and traffic.
